2026 AMC Baseball Tournament Preview
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – (Tournament Page) The 2026 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Baseball Tournament is set for April 27-30 at Ozark Mountain Sports Complex in Springfield, Missouri.
Participating in the five-team double-elimination tournament are Central Baptist College, Columbia College, Mission University, University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy, and Williams Baptist University.
#1-Columbia College Cougars
- Columbia College earned the AMC regular-season title with a record of 29-11-1 overall and a 17-3-1 mark in conference play. They enter the tournament as the top seed and will await the winner of Williams Baptist and Health Sciences & Pharmacy.
- Tyler Renn was named AMC Player of the Year, Parker Anderson earned both AMC Pitcher of the Year and Newcomer Pitcher of the Year honors, and Darren Munns was named Coach of the Year. Renn is hitting .392 with a .526 on-base percentage and a 1.305 slugging percentage. He has recorded 56 hits, including 11 doubles and 15 home runs, while driving in 51 runs and scoring 23 times. Anderson posted a 6-2 record with a 1.79 ERA, including a complete-game victory. He struck out 67 batters in just 60.1 innings pitched. Munns guided the Cougars to the regular-season title with a 29-11-1 overall record and 17-3-1 mark in conference play. The team is currently ranked third nationally with a 3.72 ERA.
- The Cougars won two of the three-game series over UHSP and WBU, winning 8-5 in the first game and 17-4 in game three, and 9-3 in game one and 6-1 in game two, respectively.
#2-Mission University Patriots
- Mission University enter the tournament with a 29-21 overall record and 15-6 a conference mark. They are the No. 2 seed will face third-seeded Central Baptist.
- The Patriots earned its first-ever AMC baseball season awards, with Zachary Beatty named Newcomer Player of the Year and Kadean Jacobs earning Freshman Player of the Year honors.
- The Patriots won two of the three games in their series against CBC, taking game two 14-3 and game three 12-6.
#3-Central Baptist College Mustangs
- Central Baptist College enters the tournament as the No. 3 seed and will face second-seeded Mission. The Mustangs hold a 31-18 overall record and 14-7 in AMC play.
- Aiden Jones was selected AMC Freshman Pitcher of the Year. He compiled a 6-3 record on the mound with a 4.95 ERA, including five complete-game victories and recorded 33 strikeouts in 60.0 innings pitched.
- The Mustangs won the first game of their three-game series against MU, 5-4.
#4-Williams Baptist University Eagles
- Williams Baptist University posted a 28-17 overall record and a 13-7 conference mark, earning the No. 4 seed. They will face fifth-seeded Health Sciences & Pharmacy in the opening round.
- Skylar Morrison leads the AMC in RBIs with 55 and is tied for third in home runs with 11.
- The Eagles won the first two games of their series over UHSP, 7-6 and 11-8.
#5-University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy Eutectics
- University of Health Sciences & Pharmacy enters the tournament as the No. 5 seed with a 21-20 overall record and a 12-9 mark in AMC play. They will take on the fourth-seeded Williams Baptist
- Brandon Gibbs leads the conference with 36 stolen bases, while Barrett Lohman ranks fifth in the conference in strikeouts with 64.
- The Eutectics won one game in their series against WBU, taking the finale 12-9.
