2026 AMC Baseball Tournament Day One Recap
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – (Tournament Page) Fourth-seeded Central Baptist upset second-seeded Mission, while fourth-seeded Williams Baptist defeated Health Sciences & Pharmacy before knocking off top-seeded Columbia on day one of the 2026 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Baseball Tournament at Ozark Mountain Sports Complex.
Game 1 – (4) Williams Baptist def. (5) Health Sciences & Pharmacy, 12-2 (7 inn.)
- Williams Baptist's Skylar Morrison and Lawson Aaron each recorded three hits. Mari Thomas scored three runs, while Cade Parks and Gavin Mink each hit a triple.
- Ethan Harrell led the Eutectics with two RBIs on two hits, including a triple. Cade Buxton and Jackson Hewitt each scored a run.
- Barrett Lohman, Gavin Long and Logan Stribling combined on the mound for UHSP, allowing 14 hits, 12 runs and recording five strikeouts.
- Dawson Cloud threw a complete game for the win, striking out one while allowing six hits and two runs.
Game 2 – (3) Central Baptist def. (2) Mission, 11-3
- Jaxon Kirkhuff and Aaron Prince each tallied three hits for CBC, while seven different Mustangs scored runs.
- Four Patriots recorded two hits apiece: Zachary Beatty, Collin Miser, Kaedan Thompson and Sam Golden.
- Trey Mulholland, Zach Still and Hunter Roberts appeared on the mound for Mission, combining to allow 16 hits and 11 runs with three strikeouts.
- Dylan Parton earned the win for the Mustangs, pitching 9.0 innings with six strikeouts while allowing 11 hits and three runs. Jamin Smith closed out the game with two strikeouts.
Game 3 – Williams Baptist def. (1) Columbia, 8-4
- Williams Baptist totaled 16 hits, led by Lawson Aaron (4-for-5) and Cade Parks (3-for-5, four RBIs). Mari Thomas, Skylar Morrison and Mason Andrews each had two hits. Parks, Morrison, Connor Brinkley, Andrews, Brenden Campbell and Will Riley each scored once, while Thomas scored twice.
- Zac Fruend, Tyler Renn and Joey Marcinkiewicz each recorded two hits for the Columbia. Braden Hemmer drove in two runs, and Fruend scored twice.
- Parker Anderson, Eric Fields and Aiden Strickland combined for 11 strikeouts for the Cougars, allowing 16 hits and eight runs.
- Ben Bledsoe, Brady Swims and Connor Brinkley handled pitching duties for the Eagles, combining for eight strikeouts while allowing 11 hits and four runs over 9.0 innings, with six walks.
Game 4 - Health Sciences & Pharmacy vs. Mission – 10:00 AM
- The Eutectics enter day two with a 21-21 record.
- Mission begins the day at 29-22 overall.
- The Patriots won the first two games of the regular-season against matchups (1-0 and 6-2) while UHSP took the third game, 7-3.
Game 5 – Central Baptist vs. Williams Baptist – 1:00 PM
- Central Baptist enters day two at 32-18 overall.
- Williams Baptist holds a 30-17 record.
- CBC won the first two games of the regular-season series (9-3 and 9-2), before WBU claimed the finale, 20-9.
Game 6 – Game 4 winner vs. Columbia – 4:00 PM
- Columbia will face the winner of Health Sciences & Pharmacy vs. Mission.
- The Cougars fell to Williams Baptist, 8-4, on day one.
- The Cougars won two of three regular-season games against both UHSP (8-5 and 17-4) and WBU (9-3 and 6-1).
