Oklahoma City Claims First-Ever AMC Competitive Cheer Title
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Oklahoma City Stars claimed their first-ever American Midwest Conference Competitive Cheer title hosted by Columbia College in the Arena of Southwell Complex.
During the prelims, Columbia received no deduction. Oklahoma City only had a 0.25-point deduction, while Dickinson State suffered a 0.75-points deducted. Langston faced a 1.25-deduction, while St. Ambrose had a 1.75-point deduction.
In the final round, Langston received no deductions. Oklahoma City suffered a 0.50-point deduction, while Columbia had a 0.75-point deduction. St. Ambrose and Dickinson State both had a 1.00-point deduction.
Xeia Schneider of Dickinson State and Martavious Owten of St. Ambrose are now a two-time First Team All-Conference, while Mikal Honeycutt of St. Ambrose is now a two-time Second Team All-Conference.
Last year's First Team All-Conference Tia Madrigga (DSU), Chloe Fulcher, Haley Scholbrock and Robert Woods (SAU) were named Second Team All-Conference.
St. Ambrose's Savannah Shumacher earned Second Team All-Conference last season and was selected this year's First Season All-Conference.
