AMC Men's Basketball Quarterfinals Recap

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - (Tournament Page) The American Midwest Conference Men's Basketball Tournament Semifinals are set as three out of four top seeds prevailed with the #5-seed Missouri Baptist upsetting the #4-seed Hannibal-LaGrange.

Game 1: (1) William Woods def. (8) Harris-Stowe, 117-57

• Six Owls scored double figures, with Francis Okwuosah and Nate Schwartze each leading the floor in scoring with 21 points
• Seth Chargois led Harris-Stowe with 20 points
• William Woods shot 59 percent from the field, 41 percent from deep and 72 percent from the foul-line. Harris-Stowe shot 28 percent from the field, 18 percent from beyond the arc and 68 percent from the free-throw line
• Woods' Tre Titus, Okuosah and Jacob LaBounty each pulled down seven boards. D'Mari Wiltz dished in six assists
• The Owls won their fifth consecutive game against Harris-Stowe to extend their winning streak to 21
• This is the first-time since 2017 that William Woods will host an AMC semifinal

Game 2: (5) Missouri Baptist def. (4) Hannibal-LaGrange, 59-54

• The Spartans pulled off the only upset of the night, securing a spot in the semifinals with their win
• Evan Palmquist and Breven McMullen led the team with 16 points each
• Four Trojans players scored double digits (Malakai Munoz, Josh Talton, Kell Estep and Chris Cross)
• Missouri Baptist's Austin Lewis pulled down 10 boards with eight coming from the defensive end
• Cross blocked four of the Spartans' shots
• Missouri Baptist shot 36 percent from the field, 25 percent from beyond the arc and 68 percent from the free-throw line. Hannibal-LaGrange shot 35 percent from the field, 30 percent from deep and 67 percent from the foul-line.

Game 3: (3) Columbia def. (6) Crowley's Ridge, 85-65

• Kai Steinman of Columbia scored 24 points to lead four players in double figures
• Crowley's Ridge had five score double-digits (Lamont Jackson, Timquorian Johnson, Braxton Cousins, Zak Brown and Arthur Johnson IV)
• AMC Player of the Year Collin Parker recorded a double-double with 20 points and 15 rebounds
• Pioneers' Cousins went 3-for-4 while Brown while 2-for-3 from deep
• With this tin, Columbia advanced to their sixth straight AMC semifinals

Game 4: (2) Central Baptist def. (7) Mission, 83-76

• Mission had three players score double digits, including two double-double performances (Jacques Thomas, 22 points and 11 rebounds while Eli'Jah Smith, 18 points and 10 rebounds
• Sage Borbon had a floor-high 24 points, while Defensive Player of the Year Jonas Carlisle added 14 points
• CBC dominated the boards, pulling down 49 boards compared to Mission's 17
• Mission's Thomas remained perfect at the free-throw line, going 4-for-4
• Devin Foster blocked four shots on the night for CBC
• Central Baptist shot 42 percent from the field, 25 percent from deep and 58 percent from the foul-line. Mission shot 35 percent from the field, 17 percent from deep and 72 percent from the free-throw line.
• The Mustangs of Central Baptist advanced to their eighth consecutive AMC Tournament Semifinals
