St. Louis, Mo. – Azani Smith of Crowley's Ridge and Brennen Walker of Health Sciences & Pharmacy were named this week's American Midwest Conference (AMC) Men's Basketball Offensive and Defensive Player of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon.

  • Led the Pioneers to a 1-1 week including a win over Mission
  • Averaged 23.0 points per game, 75.0 from the field, 75.0 from the foul line and remained perfect from deep
  • Added eight boards, four assists and two blocks

Other notable performance:

  • Umar Lawson, Harris-Stowe: scored 33 points in the win over UHSP, including a career-high in points and assists (nine)

  • Pulled down 13 boards, including nine on the offensive glass
  • Posted a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds in the loss to Harris-Stowe
  • Blocked three shots

  • Braylon Diggs, Hannibal-LaGrange: pulled down 18 boards and had two blocks in wins over Crowley's Ridge and Williams Baptist
