Columbia Cougars Secured 2026 AMC Men’s Basketball Tournament Title

Springfield, Mo. – For the first time since 2022-23 and 13th time in program history, the Columbia College Cougars captured the 2026 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament Championship with an 83-71 victory over No. 3 seed William Baptist University.
Game Notes:
- Jemeal Goines recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds.
- Four Eagles scored in double digits: Rico Quinton (18), Deion Wesson (18), Amarion Wilson (13) and Jesse Washington (10).
- Max Rieger added 17 points off the bench, while AJ Walker (16) and Adam Sausele (14) also scored in double figures for Columbia.
- Quinton and Benjamin Noonan led the team with seven rebounds.
- The Cougars shot 43.3 percent (26-of-60) from the field and added 20 points from the bench.
- Williams Baptist shot 41.7 percent (25-of-60) from the field.
- The Cougars won their ninth-straight game to improve to 28-3, while Williams Baptist dropped to 22-6.
- CC will be one of the 16 hosts for the NAIA Men's Basketball Championship opening rounds. The Selection Show will be announced on Thursday, March 5 at 6 p.m. (CT), and the first round is set for Friday, March 13.
