Woods' Salmon Named CSC Academic All-American

AUSTIN, Texas - The College Sports Communicators announced its men's soccer academic All-America honors for the NAIA Tuesday, with William Woods University's Pedro Salmon rewarded for his phenomenal performance in the classroom and on the pitch as he received second-team honors as a defenseman.
To be considered a CSC Academic All-American, one must have a 3.5 GPA or higher and play in 90 percent or start 66 percent of matches. One of 13 second-team CSC Academic All-America selections and 24 overall for the NAIA, Salmon, a business administration major, recorded a 3.97 GPA.
Salmon, a first-team All-American Midwest Conference pick, notched three goals, seven assists and 25 shots (10 on goal) in 20 games - all starts and 1,560 minutes of action.
This season, William Woods went 11-3-6 and 6-0-2 in the AMC en route to winning its first-ever outright AMC regular season title. The Owls shut out every AMC opponent in the regular season, with Salmon playing a key role.
