AMC Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - No. 4 (Jan. 31)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - William Woods' Landon Dunlap and Missouri Baptist's Mayson DeRousse were chosen as the American Midwest Conference Men's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week on Monday after both hit the NAIA A standard in their respective events.


AMC Men's Track Athlete of the Week
Landon Dunlap, William Woods (Mo.)
Jr. | Jefferson City, Mo.

• Won the 800m run at the UCM Mule Relays after besting the other 35 runners
• Hit the NAIA A standard for the 800m with a finishing time of 1:55.53, which ranks second all-time in the Owls' record book

AMC Men's Field Athlete of the Week
Mayson DeRousse, Missouri Baptist
Sr. | De Soto, Mo.

• Took home first of 12 and hit the NAIA A standard in the heptathlon at the Principia College Relays
• Registered four new multi-event personal bests including the 60m (7.40), the high jump (1.87m), the 60m hurdles (9.34), and the 1,000m run (3:10.33)
• Took home first place in the pole vault (4.60m) and the long jump (6.46m)
• His 4,568 points in the heptathlon ranks ninth in the NAIA this season

  • Alec Whitener, Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.): Finished in the top-10 in two events and helped the 4x800 team bring home the gold at the Fighting Bee Invitational
  • Donovan Denslow, Missouri Baptist: Narrowly missed the NAIA B standard in the 3000m with his fifth-place finish
  • Alexander Dukes, Columbia (Mo.): Took home silver in the 3,000m run with a time of 9:04.37 at the Fighting Bee Invitational

  • Gavin Frantz, Columbia (Mo.): Hit the NAIA B standard in the weight throw with a 16.62m toss, good for third place in the event
  • Isaiah Hoelscher, Hannibal-LaGrange (Mo.): Finished fourth of 37 in the weight throw (15.90m) at the Fighting Bee Invitational
