Carpenter and Dunlap Compete at NAIA National Championships

VANCOUVER, Wash. - (Results) Hunter Carpenter and Landon Dunlap competed at the 44th Annual NAIA Cross Country National Championships this morning. The course conditions were cold and wet.
Milligan University won the race with a 115 score, averaging a 25:42 8K, and Zouhair Talbi from Oklahoma City University took the individual title with a 24:43.1 time.
Junior Landon Dunlap finished in 119th place out of 333 runners. He finished in 26:55.5, averaging a 5:25 mile time. He moved up 53 spots after crossing the 3K mark to sit in 81st place, but in the final 1,000 meters he dropped 28 places to finish in 119th.
Senior Hunter Carpenter placed 163rd overall with a time of 27:17.9. He averaged a 5:30 mile time. He moved up 48 spots after crossing the 3K mark to sit in 85th, but dropped in the final 1K to finish in 163rd.
