2025 AMC Softball Championship Preview
CONWAY, Ark. - (Tournament Page) The 2025 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Softball Tournament will be hosted by Central Baptist College at the City of Colleges Park at Conway, Ark., from April 29-May 2. The eight-team double elimination Tournament will be played on Field 1 and Field 5, with first pitch set for noon each day.
Participating teams include Central Baptist College, Columbia College, Cottey College, Crowley's Ridge College, Missouri Baptist University, Stephens College, William Woods University, and Williams Baptist University.
Game One: Missouri Baptist (1) vs. Stephens (8)
- Missouri Baptist won their third AMC regular season title as they concluded regular season with a
- 38-6 overall record and 20-2 in conference play. They are looking for their first-ever AMC Tournament
- crown.
- Stephens finished the season with a 15-25 record and 9-13 in AMC play.
- Missouri Baptist's Taylor Whitehead enters the AMC Tournament with a 1.91 ERA and 137 strikeouts,
- both are ranked second in the AMC.
- Stephens' Emma Angel leads the team in hits (37), slugging percentage (.558) and on base
- percentage (.479).
- The Spartans swept the Stars during the regular season, (11-1 and 14-0).
Game Two: William Woods (2) vs. Crowley's Ridge (7)
- William Woods is coming into the Tournament as the second seed with a record of 28-15 and 18-4 in
- league play. They are looking for their sixth championship trophy.
- Crowley's Ridge is competing in their first-ever AMC Tournament as they joined the Conference this
- season. The Pioneers wrapped up the regular season with an 18-24 record and 9-13 in AMC play.
- William Woods' Lexi Lewis leads the league in stolen bases with 35 while Sarah Randermann has the
- lowest ERA in the Conference with 1.71.
- Crowley's Ridge's Karsen Overshine leads the team with 56 hits, .441 batting average and .503 on
- base percentage.
- The Owls swept the Pioneers during the regular season matchup, (17-0 and 5-2).
Game Three: Williams Baptist (4) vs. Central Baptist (5)
- Williams Baptist is looking to win their third AMC Tournament. They come into the tournament with a 32-12 overall record and 16-6 in AMC play.
- Central Baptist is looking to take home their first-ever Tournament trophy. They enter the Tournament with a 27-23 record and 15-7 in conference play.
- The Eagles' Madyson Busselle leads the conference in RBIs with 45 while Megan Graver is the strikeouts leader with 146.
- The Mustangs' Kinley Johnson is the conference leader in home runs with 11.
- The Mustangs went 2-0 against the Eagles during the regular season (2-1 and 3-1).
Game Four: Columbia (3) vs. Cottey (6)
- Columbia has won an AMC record 15 Tournament titles. They closed their regular season with a 26- 12 overall record and 17-5 in conference play.
- Cottey is looking to win back-to-back AMC Tournament titles. They begin the tournament with a 23-21 record on the season and 13-9 in AMC play.
- The Cougars' Cassidy Avery leads the league in batting average with .456
- Leading the Comets is Halen Hoelzeman with 50 hits, 38 RBI, a .680 slugging percentage and others.
- The Cougars swept the Comets during the regular season (8-0 and 7-3).

For those attendin the Tournament, the City of Conway and City of Colleges Park have a strict no pet policy. Only service animals are allowed.
