St. Louis, Mo. – Rosalie Schneider and Ella Schouten of Columbia swept this week's American Midwest Conference (AMC) Softball Players of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon. 

AMC Softball Hitter of the Week

Rosalie Schneider, Columbia

So. | 3B | Topeka, Kan.

  • Led the Cougars to a sweep over Stephens and Hannibal-LaGrange.
  • Hit .533 (8-for-15) with a .533 slugging percentage and .563 on-base percentage.
  • Drove in six runs while scoring one run.

Other Notable Performance:

Emily Hochstatter, Hannibal-LaGrange: led the Trojans to a split with Stephens and two losses to Columbia. Recorded a double, three RBI, three stolen bases and two runs.

  • Earned two wins in the circle this week, including a 3-2 win over Stephens and a 3-0 win over Hannibal-LaGrange.
  • In 12.0 innings pitched, she struck out 24 while allowing six hits and two runs.
  • Recorded an ERA of 1.17.
  • Third AMC Player of the Week award of the season

Other Notable Performance:

Emberlin Caldwell, Williams Baptist: went 2-0 with eight strikeouts against CBU and Bethel. Held Bethel to just two runs in a complete-game win.
