St. Louis, Mo. – Madyson Busselle of Williams Baptist and Ryleigh Keele of Central Baptist were selected this week's American Midwest Conference (AMC) Softball Players of the Week presented by AMCOnTheGo, announced the conference office this afternoon. 

AMC Softball Hitter of the Week

Madyson Busselle, Williams Baptist

Sr. | SS/P | Bald Knob, Ark.

  • Led the Eagles to a 6-0 week, including sweeps over Freed-Hardeman, Harris-Stowe and UHSP.
  • Hit .600 (12-for-20) with a 1.100 slugging percentage and .636 on-base percentage.
  • Recorded seven doubles, one homer, 14 RBI and nine runs.
  • Tied the Williams Baptist school record for doubles in a single game with three in game two against UHSP.

Other Notable Performance:

Alicia Kimble, UHSP: went 12-for-28 with two doubles, three homers, six RBI and five runs. Led the Eutectics to a pair of wins on the week.

  • Earned four wins in the circle against four different AMC opponents.
  • In 26.0 innings pitched, she struck out 22 while allowing 18 hits and six runs.
  • Posted a 1.08 ERA and threw three complete-game shutouts.

Other Notable Performance:

Ella Schouten, Columbia: tossed a complete-game shutout against Cottey. She struck out 11 while allowing four hits.
