2025-26 AMC Women’s Basketball All-Conference & Season Award Winners Announced

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference (AMC) has announced the 2025-26 AMC Women's Basketball season awards, All-Conference Teams, Champions of Character Team and Academic All-Conference Team.
- Cha'Myrean Ellis of Williams Baptist is the fourth player to win both Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in the same season, and the first to do so since 2009. She is the second consecutive Eagle to win AMC Player of the Year and third Eagle to be named AMC Newcomer of the Year (first since 2016).
- Columbia's Tori Rubel is the first Cougar to receive Defensive Player of the Year recognition, while Lauren Friedrich is the third Cougar in the past three years to be named Sixth Woman of the Year.
- Lexi Duck of Central Baptist in the first Mustang to win an AMC Women's Basketball major award, earning Freshman of the Year
- Coach of the Year Matt More is in his second season at the helm of the Cougars. This marks Columbia's first undefeated conference regular season since 2010-11 and the AMC's first unbeaten regular-season team since 2016-17. Moore earned his 50th career victory on Feb. 7 against Harris-Stowe and captures his first Coach of the Year honor.
- Raigan Head (CBC), Lexi Miller and Mya Miller (CC), and Cailynn Dilosa (HSSU) received All-Conference honors for the second time in their careers.
- LaiJanique Perry-Ellis of Stephens is now a two-time First Team All-Conference selection, while Taylor Hooten is a two-time All-Defensive Team honoree.
- The season awards and All-Conference Teams are selected by a vote of the Conference men's basketball coaches.
- The Champions of Character Team includes one player from each school, selected by their coach and teammates as the individual who best exemplifies the Five Core Values of the NAIA Champions of Character Initiative - Respect, Responsibility, Sportsmanship, Integrity and Servant Leadership.
- To be eligible for Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have at least a 3.0 GPA.
