Columbia Cougars Crowned 2026 AMC Women’s Basketball Tournament Champions

Springfield, Mo. – The No. 1 seed Columbia College women's basketball team secured the 2026 American Midwest Conference (AMC) Tournament Championship with an 86-58 victory over No. 2 seed William Baptist University.
The Cougars won its fifth-straight AMC Tournament Championship and 11th in program history.
Game Notes:
- Lexi Miller led the Cougars with 22 points, seven assists and seven rebounds. Ashtyn Klusmeyer added 21 points, while Tori Rubel added 11 points and eight rebounds.
- Chelsea Hamilton and Joi Montgomery both led the Eagles in scoring with 10 points each.
- Lexi Rubel contributed 14 rebounds, nine points and nine assists.
- Montgomery also added nine boards.
- The Cougars shot 47.3 percent (35-of-74) from the field and hit 11 three-pointers in the win, and dominated the glass with a 57-33 rebounding advantage.
- Williams Baptist shot 29.2 percent (19-of-65) from the field.
- Columbia won their 19th-straight game to improve to 30-1, while Williams Baptist dropped to 24-5.
- Columbia and Williams Baptist have both earned an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.
- The 2026 NAIA Women's Basketball Championship qualifiers will be announced on Thursday, March 5 at 7 p.m. (CT), and the first round is set to begin on Friday, March 13 at a site to be determined.
