William Woods finishes as runner-up at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. – For the third time in program history, the William Woods University women's golf team, sponsored by Fulton Medical Center, finished National Runner-Up at the NAIA Women's Golf National Championships.
The Owls shot 64-over par 928 (309-301-318) for the tournament to finish runner-up. SCAD Savannah claimed its first NAIA Women's Golf National Championship as they shot 45-over par 909 (300-306-303) to win it. Claiming the individual crown was Maria Paula Otero, from SCAD Savannah. She shot even-par 216 (75-73-68) for the tournament. Full individual and team results can be seen by clicking here.
Because of inclement weather in the area making the course unplayable, the fourth and final round was canceled.
Katie Warren finished the event tied for fourth place with a score of 13-over par 229 (78-76-75). Megan Cullen followed in a tie for 13th place with a score of 16-over par 232 (78-73-81).
Fumika Matsumoto finished tied for 22nd place shooting 19-over par 235 (79-78-78). Nikki Callahan finished tied for 31st after shooting 21-over par 237 (74-75-88). Rounding out the Owls is Lucy Matthews who finished in 59th place shooting 28-over par 244 (83-77-84).
