AMC Golf Players of the Week - Week 1

St. Louis, Mo. - Columbia College swept the first American Midwest Conference Golfer of the Week honors, with Elin Stenbeck and Kanon Kendrick taking home the honors. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from Sept. 18-24 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.
AMC Women's Golfer of the WeekElin Stenbeck, Columbia
Fr. | Svelda, Sweden
- Won the William Woods University Fall Invitational, shooting a 1-over-par 145 (66-79), four strokes ahead of teammate Camryn Swinfard.
- First round 6-under 66 set the Columbia individual scoring record and helped the team break the school record by 13 strokes.
- Cougars won the 8-team Tournament by four strokes over Lincoln (Mo.) (607-611).
AMC Men's Golfer of the Week
Kanon Kendrick, Columbia
Sr. | Shelbina, Mo.
- Won the William Woods University Fall Invitational, shooting an 11-under-par 133 (66-67), four strokes ahead of teammate Sean Minor and William Woods Aiden Asby.
- Set the Columbia record with his 6-under 66.
- His 36-hole 133 also set a Columbia record.
- Cougars won the 13-team Tournament by 18 strokes over host William Woods (554-572).
- Jakub Slapal, Central Baptist: Won the Williams Baptist University Fall Invitational with a 4-under-par 140 (73-67).
