Columbia Wins Third Straight AMC Women's Golf Championship

Eugene, Mo- (Results) The Columbia College Cougars won their third consecutive American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Golf Championship, doing so in record fashion.

Columbia's 36-hole score of 618 (314-304) is the fifth-lowest championship score in AMC women's golf history and its 78-stroke margin of victory is the third largest ever. Championship runner-up Central Baptist College shot a 696 (355-341) over the two days, securing its best-ever AMC championship finish and lowest total score in championship play (previous bests were a 3rd place finish in 2022 with a score of 761). William Woods University placed third (367-347-714), marking the first time the Owls finished outside the top 2 in the Conference.

Individually, the Cougars became the 11th team to have all four of its scorers finish in the Tournament's top-5 (the first time the feat was accomplished by a school other than William Woods). Sydney Willingham shot the low round on both days (75-74-149) and took home Medalist honors for the second straight year, becoming the fifth two-time Conference Medalist and just the sixth player in history to have four top-10 finishes at the Conference Championship. Teammate Camryn Swinfard finished four strokes back (77-76-153). Ashlyn Sanders (t-3rd, 160) and Viviana Box (5th, 162) were the other Cougars in the top-5.

William Woods' Maria Ortiz Rozo was the only non-Cougar in the top-5, finishing tied for third. Ortiz Rozo and Columbia' Lillian Knipfel (6th-place) become the 20th and 21st players to have three top-10 finishes.

Central Baptist's Alyssa Hagewood (t-6th, 164), Williams Baptist' Kendra Harness (8th, 165), Cottey's Sara Golden (t-12th, 174) and Missouri Baptist's GG Rogers (16th, 177) were the top finishers for their respective teams.
