AMC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - Week 2

St. Louis, Mo. - Missouri Baptist University's Mia Reed (Track) and Alaina Scott (Field) have been selected as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Indoor Athletes of the Week. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from Jan. 8-14 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.
AMC Women's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Mia Reed, Missouri Baptist
Jr. | Augusta, Mo.
- Placed third overall vs. 12 athletes in the mile (5:17.51) at the RedHawks Invite.
- Led off the Spartans' in the 4x400 meter relay (4:22.70) and placed third.
- First AMC Athlete of the Week Honor.

AMC Women's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Alaina Scott, Missouri Baptist
Jr. | New Haven, Mo.
- Logged a personal best and won the pole vault (3.50m) at the RedHawks invite.
- Currently first in the AMC for pole vault, and ranks 16th in the NAIA.
- First AMC Athlete of the Week Honor.
