AMC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Athletes of the Week - No. 3 (Mar. 31)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Leah Macon-Ford of Health Sciences & Pharmacy and Damajee Brown of Harris-Stowe were selected American Midwest Conference Track & Field Athletes of the Week.

Both athletes are now eligible for the NAIA Track & Field Athletes of the Week which is announced on Wednesday.

AMC Women's Outdoor Track Athlete of the Week
Leah Macon-Ford, UHSP
Fr. | St. Louis, Mo.

• Set three new school records (100m, 200m, 4x100m relay)
• Won the 100-meter dash at the SLU Speed/Power Festival and at the Billiken Invite
• Her time 100-meter dash time of 11.84 earned NAIA B-Standard with the seventh-fastest time in the nation

Other Notable Performance: Mia Duncan, Missouri Baptist: hit a NAIA "A" Standard in the 3,000-meter steeplechase
Mekayla Gibson, William Woods: hit the NAIA "B" Standard in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 36:52.22

• Competed in the hammer throw in the SLU Speed/Power Festival (second-place) and at the Billiken Invite (fourth-place)
• Set a new school record with a 44.81-meter throw at SLU
• Leads the AMC in the hammer

Other Notable Performance: Lexi Clifford, William Woods: placed third in the javelin at the CMU Invite with a 32.25-meter throw
