AMC Volleyball Players of the Week - No. 2 (Aug. 26)

St. Louis, Mo. - Lauren Adams of William Woods, Julia Pereira of Missouri Baptist, Maiana Coelho of Missouri Baptist have been named as the American Midwest Conference (AMC) Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, the league announced today.

All three players are now eligible for the NAIA Women's Volleyball Players of the Week which is announced on Tuesday.

AMC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Lauren Adams, William Woods
Sr. | MH | St. Joseph, Mo.

• Posted a season-high 10 kills in matches over Culver-Stockton and Hastings.
• Totaled 11 total blocks with 10 block assists for a total of 42 points.
• Recorded a hitting percentage of .692 in match over Kansas Wesleyan.

Other Notable Performance:

• Mariana De Carvalho, Columbia: Totaled 20 kills, 54 digs and seven service aces in 20 sets played.

• In 15 sets played, she totaled 72 digs, including 23 in victory over Midland.
• Added 17 assists and four service aces.

Other Notable Performance:

• Vitoria Campos Mello, William Woods: Notched 13 total blocks, with 11 block assists. She had five service aces and recorded 26 digs in 17 sets played.

• Helped the Spartans to a 3-1 victory over #6 Midland with 52 assists.
• Totaled 134 assists and 42 digs in 15 sets played. She averaged 8.93 assists per set.

Other Notable Performance:

• Erin Treis, William Woods: Posted three double-double in five matches played. Dished out 83 assists, averaging 4.88 per set.
