AMC Volleyball Players of the Week - No. 8 (Oct. 7)

ST. LOUIS, Mo. - Mariana De Carvalho (Columbia), Maiana Coelho (Missouri Baptist), and Hannah Halverson (Crowley's Ridge) earned this week's American Midwest Conference Volleyball Players of the Week, announced the league this afternoon.

All three are now eligible for the NAIA Volleyball Players of the Week which is announced on Tuesday.

AMC Volleyball Attacker of the Week
Mariana De Carvalho, Columbia

• Helped the Cougars go to 2-1 on the week with wins over Central Methodist and Stephens.
• Had 3.68 kills per set, totaling 49, and 57 points.
• Added 30 digs and six service aces.

Other Notable Performance:
Pamela Durazo, William Woods: Tallied 80.5 points (3.8 points per set), 60 kills (2.86 kills per set) with a .510 hitting percentage, 24 total blocks (1.14 blocks per set) and seven aces to lead her team's offense in a 6-0 week.

• Totaled 60 digs for the week averaging 4.62 per set.
• Recorded a double-double in CRC's first matchup of the week where she led the team in kills and digs in the win over MUW.

Victoria Campos Mello, William Woods: Totaled 49 digs over 21 sets, averaging 2.33 digs per set.
