St. Louis, Mo. - The American Midwest Conference (AMC) announced its first Cross Country Runners of the Week of the 2023-24 academic year on Monday. Missouri Baptist University swept the weekly with Mia Reed and Donovan Denslow earning the Women's and Men's Runners of the Week, respectively. They were selected from nominees submitted by each institution based on their performances from Aug. 28 through Sept. 3 and chosen through a vote of Sports Information Directors from around the AMC.
AMC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Mia Reed, Missouri Baptist
Jr. | Augusta, Mo.
  • Finished 8th of 66 runners at the SEMO Redhawks Invitational.
  • Ran the 4K course in 15:16.7 (6:06.1 mile pace).
  • Second among non-NCAA Division I runners.
  • Missouri Baptist finished 3rd (75 points), behind a pair of NCAA Division I schools.

AMC Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week
Donovan Denslow, Missouri Baptist
Sr. | Eoila, Mo.
  • Won the SEMO Redhawks Invitational, his fourth career individual title.
  • Ran the 6K course in 18:32.7 (4:58 mile pace), a new 6K PR.
  • Finished 7-seconds ahead of 2nd place finisher and 30-seconds ahead of 3rd-place finisher.
